Overview
Seasonal Tax-Financial Services Organization - GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory - BCM Manager s role is part of EY's National Tax Department (NTD) and Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice, focusing on tax accounting and risk advisory services for domestic and international clients. The TARAS practice supports financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.
This is a seasonal position with responsibilities spanning tax guidance, planning, and tax provision processes.
- Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions between US GAAP and IFRS, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
- Assist companies with all aspects of their tax provision preparation.
- Review tax provision processes to improve efficiency and accuracy; enhance control environments; assess tax risk and control environments including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.
- Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience and exposure to corporate tax planning and compliance; relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation.
- Salary range: $90/hr to $120/hr, with compensation determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options.
- Hybrid work model: most client-facing roles are in-person 40-60% of the time over engagements or projects.
