Overview
As a Demand Planner, you will shape our inventory strategy and ensure the right products are available at the right time. You will work cross-functionally to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and support strategic initiatives that drive growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and makes data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities- Build and refine purchase orders and demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and promotional activity.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align forecasts with business goals and customer needs.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and tools.
- Support product launches and seasonal campaigns with proactive inventory planning.
- Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turnover, and lead initiatives to improve them.
- Contribute to S&OP meetings with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Champion a test-and-learn mindset to pilot new forecasting models and technologies.
- Handle special projects and other assignments as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, preferably in retail or automotive.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and forecasting tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- A growth mindset with a passion for solving problems and driving innovation.
- Familiarity with automotive tires, parts, and accessories is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to machine learning or statistical forecasting techniques.
- APICS or similar supply chain certification.
The position is based in an office environment, requiring periods of sitting and the operation of standard office equipment. Typical work hours are 8-5, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
