- Act as the primary liaison with Store Operations for inventory support--an ideal fit for someone who is personable, collaborative, and able to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Manage cycle counts andserveas the main contact for quarterly physical inventory, requiring initiative, ownership, and the ability to focus on what matters most.
- Analyze monthly inventory levels and shrinkage, reconcile perpetual inventory to the balance sheet, andmaintaina rolling 12-month analysis--perfect for someone who is curious and eager to dig into the "why."
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities,demonstrating accountability and disciplined time management.
- Complete and resolve balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze P&L statements related to assigned responsibilities, requiring strong analytical thinking and the ability to sense what will help or hinder achieving goals.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Provide support for the Finance Help Desk with a human, approachable communication style.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit, taking ownership of tasks through completion.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive automation--ideal for someone with vision and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects where flexibility and a positive attitude toward shifting priorities are essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountingor related field.
- 5--8 years of accounting experience.
- Advancedproficiencyin Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced,frequently changing environment whileremainingadaptable and focused on what truly matters.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and accountability, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification
- Experience with SAP
- Experience in a retail-based company
The position is based in an office environment, requiring periods of sitting and the operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and other office tools. Work hours are typically 8-5, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
