Permanent Social Worker – Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team
Southend-on-Sea

Salary: £46,142 – £52,413 per annum

Relocation Package: Up to £8,000 available

Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families? Join our dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Southend-on-Sea and help us deliver outstanding support and safeguarding services.

About the Role – As a permanent Social Worker within the CWD Team, you will work with children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they are safeguarded, supported, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes. You will carry out high-quality assessments, develop effective care and support plans, and work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking service committed to delivering the right support at the right time while maintaining a strong focus on child-centred practice.

About You

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker
  • Be registered with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Have successfully completed your ASYE
  • Have experience in children’s social care (experience within disability services desirable)
  • Demonstrate strong assessment, safeguarding, and partnership-working skills
Please note
  • Hybrid working is available; however, attendance on site is required a minimum of 2 days per week (unless otherwise agreed).
  • The Council does not sponsor overseas candidates.
