Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Southend-on-Sea

We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.

We're expanding and looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our clients friendly, high-performing team.

As a fire engineer you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and the client. .

Duties:

Fire alarm Servicing and maintenance, reactive and repair and installation work
Diagnosing and rectifying faults
Carrying out company works as required and to desired standards
Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company
Producing reporting on time and to agreed standards
Adhering to the company's quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly
Experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations and repairs, preferably within the public sector
FIA qualification is preferable but not essential
A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials
Current Trade Qualifications
Good communication skills, both verbal & written
IT literate
A commitment to great customer service
Salary and benefits:

Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE)
23 days holiday per year, and you can secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. From this allowance we will provide you the option to sell 3 days back to the company per year, or you can take 3 days into the next holiday year. Plus, statutory bank holidays (currently

Over and above the increased allowance, should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day.

All plant tools supplied for example drills, steps, ladders, testers
We pay time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours.
We pay double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working.

Availability to out of hours call out rota.
