Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Southend-on-Sea, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site assets. This role involves maintaining equipment reliability, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and company standards.

Duties

* Perform weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance on company equipment

* Record all completed maintenance in the company database

* Review and follow all relevant risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)

* Maintain and manage stock of spare parts and consumables

* Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to site safety requirements

* Support continuous improvement and attend training when required

Experience & Skills Required

* Proven experience maintaining/servicing equipment in a manufacturing environment is essential

* GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent is preferable

* An engineering-based apprenticeship or similar qualification is desirable

* Experience with contractor management (RAMS, permits, etc.) is essential

* Must be IT proficient (MS Office)

* Forklift and MEWP experience preferred

* Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently or in a team is a must

* Must be Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
