We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our production team and ensure all parts are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures. You will be responsible for managing a motivated, trained team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring production meets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prioritise, and delegate daily production activities to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage team attendance, sickness, and holiday requests, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
- Ensure team members have the training and support needed to fulfil their roles effectively.
- Maintain adherence to all documented quality procedures and compliance standards.
- Co-ordinate and report on production KPIs, driving performance against targets.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to ensure production objectives are met on time and efficiently.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Contribute to a positive, motivating, and collaborative working environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, and workflows.
- Assist the management team with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
- Promote a “right first time” culture within the team.
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team, identifying training and development needs.
- Maintain high standards of discipline and manage any personnel issues appropriately.
- Participate in regular management meetings and contribute to operational planning.
- Ensure clear communication of roles, responsibilities, and expectations across the team.
- Proven experience in production management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, quality compliance, and process improvement.
- Experience managing, developing, and motivating a team.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions.
