Position Summary
Assistant, 14-16 Provision SOUTHEND CAMPUS. Approximately 21 hours per week – term time only, (Hourly Paid). South Essex Colleges Group (SECG) is the largest provider of technical and vocational education and training for 16–18‑year‑olds, adults and apprenticeship provision within Essex – and we are growing! We are looking for an enthusiastic person as an assistant at our Southend City College which is part of South Essex Colleges Group to support our Pre‑16, home‑educated learners who have come to the college for part of their home education due to struggling with mainstream school.
Responsibilities- Support tutors and students throughout their teaching day.
- Supervise students during lunch and breaks.
- Implement the behaviour policy, ensuring the security, safety, welfare and good conduct of learners within your care.
- Recognise behaviour giving cause for concern.
- Experience in working with 14‑16 year olds desirable.
- Good level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
