I am currently working with a supportive and inclusive school in Westcliff that is looking to appoint a Qualified Teacher (Primary or Secondary) with strong SEMH knowledge and behaviour management skills.

This Qualified Teacher role is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and resilient professional who is confident supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The position is available full-time or on Thursdays and Fridays, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

As a Qualified Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs

Support pupils with SEMH needs, promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

Implement strong and consistent behaviour management strategies

Build trusting relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal development

Work collaboratively with the wider school team to create a safe and structured learning environment

The school is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher who understands the importance of consistency, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement when working with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.

The successful candidate will have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience teaching in either a primary or secondary setting

Strong knowledge of SEMH and effective behavioural management strategies

The ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude

An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
