Teacher Active is currently recruiting for a dedicated and patient 1:1 Tutor to work within a specialist school near Westcliff-on-Sea. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND, ASD, SEMH, and associated learning difficulties.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships and support individual students in reaching their full potential.

The Role:

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will:

Deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of your assigned student

Adapt learning materials to suit ability levels and learning styles

Support academic progress in core subjects such as English and Maths

Build positive, consistent relationships to support engagement and confidence

Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to implement individual learning plans

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience working with children or young people with SEND or additional needs

Strong understanding of differentiated learning

Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach

Excellent communication skills

Teaching qualification or tutoring experience (desirable but not essential)

This role would suit qualified teachers, experienced tutors, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, or graduates with relevant experience looking to gain further specialist school exposure.
