Learning Support Assistant - Westcliff--Sea

Location: Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (Dependent on experience)

We are currently partnering with a popular and inclusive school in Westcliff-on-Sea that is expanding its learning support team for the upcoming academic term. They are seeking a proactive and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to start in January 2026
.

You will play a key role in the classroom, bridging the gap between teaching and learning for students who need extra support.

• 1:1 Support: Building a trusting relationship with students who have SEN (Special Educational Needs) or barriers to learning.
• Classroom Engagement: Helping to break down lessons into digestible tasks to keep students motivated and on track.
• Emotional Regulation: acting as a calming influence and helping students manage their emotions and social interactions.

  Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

To access the top end of our pay bracket (£110/day
), we are looking for candidates with solid experience and a professional attitude.

• Experience: Previous experience in education, child social care, or youth work is required.
• SEN Knowledge: Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, or SEMH is highly desirable.
• Attributes: You must be patient, resilient, and able to take initiative in a busy classroom environment.
• Compliance: An active Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one immediately).
