Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, proportionate to experience
- Undertake statutory assessments and safeguarding work
- Prepare reports, care plans, and court documentation for family proceedings
- Work in partnership with families, carers, and multi‑agency professionals
- Apply restorative practice to achieve positive outcomes for children
Requirements
- Recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
- Completion of ASYE
- Experience working within a Children with Disabilities service
- Knowledge of child protection, LAC, and associated statutory frameworks
- Understanding of child development, attachment theory, and assessment frameworks
