We're Hiring - Residential Support Workers (Children's Services)

Social Care Recruitment is seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to support children and young people aged 11-17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference and who are looking to progress their career in children's residential care — including completing their Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
Shift Patterns- Day shifts: 8:00am - 8:00pm
- Night shifts: 8:00pm - 8:00am
- Minimum commitment: 3 shifts per week
- Opportunities to pick up additional shifts
- Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
- Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive living environment
- Promote independence through structured routines and life skills coaching
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
- Take part in in‑house and community‑based activities
- Work collaboratively as part of a child‑focused, supportive team
- Adhere to safeguarding principles and Children's Home Regulations (Ofsted)
- Full‑time availability (essential)
- Minimum of 3 shifts per week (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- At least 6 months' UK social care experience (children only)
- A proactive, resilient and confident approach
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred - can be arranged)
Willingness to complete the Level 3 Residential Childcare course and all required training
- Excellent opportunity for candidates looking to complete their Level 3 Residential Course
- Mandatory restraint training taking place on 17th & 18th — applicants must be available
- Candidates who already hold current restraint training will have an advantage, as this allows for immediate shadow shifts
