Social Worker - Children Looked After (CLA) Team • £39,152 to £45,091
• Permanent
• Full Time (Hybrid)
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join Southend-on-Sea City Council's Children Looked After Team, supporting children once care proceedings have concluded within a stable, well-regarded service.
What’s on Offer- Permanent full-time employment
- Salary range £39,152 to £45,091 per annum
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week on site
- Comprehensive training and CPD offer designed by practitioners
- Regular restorative supervision and separate development-focused supervision
- One-off retention payment of £7,500 after 3 years and 1 day in post
- Manage a caseload of children looked after following the conclusion of care proceedings
- Complete statutory assessments, care planning and reviews
- Undertake court-related work including revocation of care orders, contact disputes and adoption matters
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports and plans for court and statutory purposes
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance and council procedures
- Recognised social work qualification
- Registration with Social Work England
- Completion of ASYE
- Experience with in children's frontline statutory services
- Knowledge of child protection, looked after children and court processes
- Dedicated permanent recruitment support
