Social Worker – Fostering Recruitment Team

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join Southend-on-Sea City Council's Fostering Recruitment Team, supporting the recruitment, assessment and supervision of foster carers to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

• Permanent full-time position
• Salary between £39,152 and £45,091 per annum
• 25 days annual leave

• Recruit, assess, train, supervise and support foster carers
• Manage a capped caseload of up to 6 Form F assessments
• Complete clear, evidence-based assessments and action plans
• Provide professional support to children, young people, birth families and foster carers
• Apply a holistic, restorative practice approach to fostering work

• Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
• Completion of ASYE
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience within Fostering
• Sound knowledge of relevant fostering legislation and regulations
• Strong assessment skills and ability to support and guide foster carers
