Social Worker - Children With Disabilities Team

Southend City Council is recruiting a Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team to support children and young people with disabilities and their families, delivering high-quality, child-focused statutory social work within a Good-rated children's service.

• Permanent full-time position
• Salary £39,152-£45,091 per annum
• Hybrid working arrangement
• Professional supervision, appraisal, and continuous professional development

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, proportionate to experience
• Undertake statutory assessments and safeguarding work
• Prepare reports, care plans, and court documentation for family proceedings
• Work in partnership with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals
• Apply restorative practice to achieve positive outcomes for children

• Recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
• Completion of ASYE
• Experience working within a Children with Disabilities service
• Knowledge of child protection, LAC, and associated statutory frameworks
• Understanding of child development, attachment theory, and assessment frameworks
