Accounts Senior

Location: Southend-On-Sea

Accounts Senior - Regional Accountancy Practice, Doncaster Barber McLelland are working in partnership with a leading regional firm of chartered accountants who are recruiting for an experienced practice accountant for the position of Accounts Senior. The firm support a highly varied client base throughout the Yorkshire region, ranging from growing owner managed businesses through to large corporate entities, providing these clients with a full range of accounting, audit, business advisory and taxation services including highly innovative accounting and business solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties The role of Accounts Senior will be responsible for the following duties Preparation of Statutory Accounts for a varied client portfolio Point of contact for a number of clients within an allocated portfolio Preparation of Business Tax Preparation of Management Accounts Manage client queries and issues Exposure to training and advice on accounting software including cloud products Potential to develop audit experience if so desired (training to be provided if limited experience) Qualifications and Skills The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working within a firm of accountants with the experience of preparing statutory and management accounts with minimum supervision, ideally a qualified ACA or ACCA or an individual who has developed significant practice experience without taking formal qualifications.
