The State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS) - Southbury Training School currently has one (1) full-time 1st shift job opportunity as a Head Nurse.

Incumbents in this class must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in CT or hold a Multistate or Compact RN License.

Position Highlights
  • Location: Southbury Training School, Southbury, CT
  • Shift: PCN 16225, Full-time, first shift, 40 hours/week
  • Schedule:
    • Week 1: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Regular Days Off Friday & Thursday.
    • Week 2: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Regular Days Off Friday, Monday & Thursday

  • Review the eligibility and documentation requirements for CT license by endorsement of an out-of-state license;
  • Complete a CT DPH online application (Public Health Practitioners grouping → Registered Nurse);
  • Request verification of your out-of-state license(s) electronically through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s Nursys® System. Follow the prompts to send verification to CT. Note that PA and MI verifications are not provided through Nursys. Contact those state boards for information on obtaining verification.
