Description
The Welcome Center Associate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.
The candidate must also enjoy working in a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail and dependable. Opportunity for morning coverage/additional hours as needed.
Job Duties:
- Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch
- Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members & potential members
- Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments
- Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed
- Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures
- Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred
- Able to use and navigate on a computer and computer related systems
Schedule: Flexible Schedule Availability Preferred. 10-15 hours per week
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
