ResponsibilitiesWork as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team to provide emergency psychiatric services to adults and children who present for evaluation to emergency departments, as well as patients within the hospital in need of crisis evaluation. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment to evaluate for service and level of care needs. Must be able to work independently and collaborate with other team members (e.g., psychiatrist, nursing, behavioral health staff) to achieve patient care goals.
License/Certification/Education
- Required: Master’s Degree in social work, mental health or other related field
- Preferred: License in the behavioral health field
Experience/Skills
- Minimum two years of experience in the behavioral health field
Scheduled shift is Monday through Friday evenings 3 PM – 11:30 PM.
Position is 100% on‑site at two different emergency departments located in Southbridge and Webster, and requires flexibility to work at either site or travel between sites based on the needs of the service. A driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle transportation are a must.
