Overview

We are hiring per diem Physical Therapists to join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! Up to $55 an hour with weekly pay! Responsibilities
  • As a Physical Therapist, provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload, and participate in the clinical team process.
  • Provide teaching and training to caregiver staff and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides and students as required.
  • Screens patients/residents and evaluates them to develop appropriate care plans.
  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, ensuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
  • Under a physician’s order, provide direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venues include individual, supervised and group settings.
  • Contribute to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
  • Consult with and train patients, residents and caregivers.
  • Monitor efficiencies in collaboration with the supervisor; document activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations; communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisors.
  • Provide appropriate consultation to the facility; participate in clinical program development and implementation.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of other staff, students and volunteers; participate in the interview process for new staff.
  • Participate in census building and marketing activities; participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to deliver quality services and outcomes; comply with facility Privacy Practices and protect residents’ health information.
  • Exhibit courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators and co-workers.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:

    Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensing:
    Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained.
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulation of equipment and direct patient care.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration; ability to cope with periodic stress related to census and staffing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others; ability to interact with a wide range of personality types, ages and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language; standing and walking for significant periods.
