Responsibilities of Director of Library & Digital Learning:- Collaborate with faculty members to design effective research programs that supports students' research, information literacy, and digital skills.
- Teach one course for students as member of academic department.
- Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
- Oversee the ethical use of AI and emerging technologies across the curriculum, with an emphasis on instruction, assessment, and digital citizenship.
- Develop professional development opportunities for faculty to expand skillset in research methods, information literacy, and utilizing library resources effectively.
- Lead and supervise library staff that promotes an inclusive environment committed to serving the learning needs of the community.
- Coordinate the academic use of Canvas, Blackbaud, and other core digital platforms with the Academics Office.
- Assess current use of digital systems identifying needs for improvement, alignment, and faculty support.
Manage annual library budget to ensure strategic allocation of resources.
- Master of Library Science (MLS) or equivalent advanced degree.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a 9–12 educational setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisor experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver information literacy curriculum.
- Demonstrated expertise in learning management systems (LMS).
- U.S. Work Authorization required.
- Experience working in independent schools preferred, but not required.
- Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
