Provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned care setting. Communicates and collaborates with physicians, leadership, co-workers, and other multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Provides high quality patient care utilizing critical thinking, nursing processes, decision making, compassion, integrity, respect, and empathy. Preserves the patient’s autonomy, dignity, and rights, and restores health whenever possible. Able to perform general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization.

Performs other duties as assigned.

• Assess the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed, with knowledge of ordered medications.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Formulate and evaluate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs, including family education as appropriate.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in providing patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Address psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinate with social services for hospital and post-discharge needs.
• Practice cost-effective and resource-efficient care.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promote patient safety by minimizing risks and harm.
• Commit to lifelong learning in the nursing profession.

Minimum required:
None specified. Preferred:
Relevant clinical experience.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Preferred:
Additional specialized training.

Minimum:
Computer literacy. Preferred:
Additional technical skills.

• Required:
  
  RN license; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: ACLS/PALS certification.
