Overview

Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. This is a part-time to full-time role with in-person work that evolves during the tax season (January–April).

Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and development for associates across three tax offices.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to office staff.
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement growth plans and client targets; develop local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in partnership with the Associate Relations Center.
  • Build an engaging team environment through training and coaching; recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage labor across all offices.
  • Travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed after completing the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Ability to execute growth plans and lead a growth-oriented culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills; works well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
  • Willingness and ability to travel between offices.
Schedule and Work Environment

The role starts with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transitions to full-time in January–April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
