In some areas these professions are also referred to as mental health counselor, mental health therapist, or psychology associate. In our organization, these professionals are placed in the position of
Behavioral Health Professional
to plan and provide clinical services to adults. As BHP they will provide assessments and create treatment plans for clients. In addition the BHP will facilitate client groups. Market rate pay based on experience.
Must be available for swing shift once a week/weekends are great too!
The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.
- Must be comfortable running CBT groups and individual sessions based on ITP needs.
- Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on review of available records and clinical interviews with clients.
- Provides treatment to clients by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
- Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload; while staying up to date on latest techniques.
- Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions to address the needs of clients.
- Experience working with forensic population.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a degree in a related area.
Must have a Master’s degree or be licensed
. At least one year of clinical experience as a counselor. Minimum age requirement:
