Position: HGV CE DAY DRIVER

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for HGV C+E Day drivers to join our client based in Nursling.

This is an ad‑hoc with the potential to have ongoing or full‑time work.

Pay/Salary – £15.95 PAYE / £19.95 PAYE UMBRELLA

Location – Nursling, Southampton

Start Time – Between 05:00 am–07:00 am

Shift Patterns – Working Mon to Fri, with potential weekend work

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Driving Class 1 vehicles doing day trunks, container or bulk deliveries
Straight day trunks up to Main hub in Derby, load or unload and back again
Collecting and delivering containers from and to the docks and straight to the customer
Doing local bulk general haulage deliveries and collections
Vehicle checks before and after every shift
Reporting any issues on the road to managers in the office

WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED

Full UK C+E Licence
Valid CPC & Tachograph Digi Card
DP World Card desired but not essential
Working Monday to Friday doing day shifts
Customer service skills
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Class 1 experience
On-site parking
Potential for ongoing or full‑time work
