Hours of work50 hours per week, with shifts from 6pm to 4am or 8pm to 6am on a rotating schedule from Monday to Friday.

With a new state‑of‑art infrastructure and recent investment in VBS and technology we are looking for a right individual to support our Operations team in Southampton.
As a Multi Skilled Operative you will be responsible for loading and unloading HGV vehicles in the yard using top‑spec and the newest lifting equipment ranging from 2.5 tonnes to 72 tonnes, shunting containers to and from the terminal, driving TUG equipment, working as a team and getting involved in a variety of projects. You will be using bespoke technology to guide you through the day, all while sharing our culture and belief of health and safety being the number one priority.
The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training in operating all lifting equipment and utilising internal systems and technology therefore previous experience is not required.
Key responsibilities- To service vehicles with the correct containers and in a timely manner.
- Stack shipping containers.
- Ensure containers are shunted to and from terminal in a timely manner.
- Effectively and safely operate container handling equipment.
- Communicate with yard team and container controllers to ensure efficient working and accuracy in terms of the correct container timing and availability.
- Maintain H&S standards.
- Holder of full UK driving licence
- Deep understanding of the importance of health and safety and be committed to always upholding a safe approach to all tasks.
- Have previous forklift experience.
- Have previous container industry experience.
