This role involves the direct supervision and support of the driver team at NVD UK, focusing on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and performance management. The supervisor is responsible for optimising load lane performance, ensuring fast truck turnaround, and achieving high load factors.

• Supervises the day‑to‑day activities of the Drivers in NMUK and supports your driver team.
• Supervises load lane performance and helps drivers achieve fast truck turnaround and good load factors.
• Assists the Transport Manager in ensuring drivers comply with the OWT Act and working time legislation.
• Maintains daily performance responsibility for drivers and implements corrective action where required.
• Takes an active interest in promoting driver score and increasing all driver scores to achieve target.
• Assists with managing fuel usage to lowest possible levels.
• Works with the Planning Office and the Transport Manager to reduce damage and help drivers meet damage targets.
• Works closely with the HR and Safety Department to ensure the NVD transport safety programme operates to expectations.
• Works closely with the Fleet Manager when necessary to facilitate maintenance targets and help reduce driver‑caused maintenance events.
• Demonstrates people‑management experience.
• Carries out and records truck audits.
• Car Transport Driving is advantageous but not essential.
• Exhibits good leadership skills.

• Lead by example and willing to support the team in a hands‑on manner

• Good communication skills
• Must hold a C+E licence, Tacho and CPC
