HGV Tanker Driver at Lanes Group

We are looking for HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work on a full‑time basis for days on our wastewater contract. Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non‑hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor.

Due to the nature of the role, a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK driver’s licence with CPC and an up‑to‑date dig‑tachograph card is required.

Location:

Working out of Millbrook Depot – Southampton – covering the Hampshire Region.

Hours:

4 days on – 4 days off – 6am – 6pm. Salary: £17phr.

• Operate HGV‑mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
• Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high‑quality work.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance.

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid CPC and up‑to‑date dig‑tachograph card.
