Refrigeration Engineer

40,000 - 50,000 DOE + Overtime + Call-Out

On behalf of our well-established client, Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing team operating across Southampton and the surrounding areas.

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. You'll work independently across multiple client sites, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations.

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of refrigeration systems

• Fault-finding and reactive breakdown repairs

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

• Working on a range of commercial refrigeration equipment, including:

  • Cold rooms

  • Pack systems

  • Display cabinets

  • Fridges and freezers

• Completing service reports and job documentation accurately

• Ensuring all work complies with health & safety standards

• Representing the company professionally on client sites

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer

• F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred)

• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge

• Full UK driving licence

• Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively
