We are an established Food service wholesaler with a turnover of over £100 million and a strong reputation in the UK.

Our product range includes Frozen, Chilled and ambient lines, and we are also known for our fresh produce.

We deliver a high quality of product and service to a customer base that spans across all food service, with particular success in travel, hotel, pub, leisure and restaurant sectors.

Following a successful year, we are looking to add a Fresh Produce Trader to support buying and customer management in a fast‑paced environment.

This role is a key part of our trading/buying team and is based in Southampton.

The shift is standard for the fresh produce sector: 2am‑10am Monday to Friday.

You will work with our fresh produce suppliers to negotiate product availability and pricing on a daily basis.

You will also communicate these prices to key customers to secure orders each day.

Occasionally customers will request specific fresh produce items; you will proactively source the right supplier from our network or the open market.

The industry is fast‑paced, changing quickly, yet very rewarding for the right individual.

• Background ideally within the Fresh Produce sector at trader/senior trader level.
• Proven track record in trading, purchasing or internal sales.
• Experience in fresh produce highly advantageous.
• Experience in other short‑shelf‑life areas (seafood, butchery) that involve a trading‑style sales process is also considered.
• Experience selling to or trading with Food service customers advantageous, though experience in other sectors (retail, manufacturing) may also be accepted.
