Are you a Ward Sister / Charge Nurse or an experienced Staff Nurse looking for a new challenge? If so, we would love to have you join our teams. We are excited to offer a permanent, full‑time Band 6 post within Medicine Care in Respiratory, and a 12‑month secondment or maternity cover opportunity may also be available. The RHDU team cares for patients with a variety of acute respiratory conditions, requiring non‑invasive ventilator support.

The department is purpose built with substantial side rooms and facilities.

You will be acting as a role model for nursing staff, encouraging effective working relationships and the development of a cohesive nursing team. You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Sister in the management of the ward for a 24‑hour period ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

We are looking for individuals who are strong leaders that are highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. The sister/charge nurse role requires a close working relationship with multi‑professional teams to ensure that evidence‑based quality care is delivered with compassion to every patient. • Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
• Registered nurse on appropriate part of the register
• Significant post registration experience / Qualification / Training, including experience and knowledge within relevant speciality
• Ward management experience
• Knowledge of current issues within acute Health Service
• Experience in an acute hospital setting
• Provide evidence of supporting / Managing a range of learners in practice
• Provide evidence of supporting colleagues to promote effective learning in practice
