Staff Nurse EndoscopyJob summary and details remain as provided by the Trust. This role includes training support in Endoscopy; previous endoscopy experience is not essential as full training is provided. The Endoscopy unit operates Monday to Friday 8am–8pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am–6pm, with on-call cover available. Fixed term 22.5 hours and permanent 37.5 hours posts are available.
Main duties of the jobThe Endoscopy team offers a dedicated environment for patient care within a modern unit. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of patient care during procedures, working with medical staff to ensure treatments are carried out within policies, maintaining accurate records of observation, treatment and patient care, and providing supervision to team members.

Job responsibilitiesWhat you’ll do
- Ensure a high standard of care for patients undergoing procedures.
- Work with medical staff and other members of the health care team to ensure treatments are carried out within agreed policies.
- Maintain accurate records of patient observation, treatment and care.
- Provide supervision to members of the team.

Person Specification Qualifications, knowledge and experience- Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
- Registered nurse on appropriate part of the register
- Knowledge of current issues within acute Health Service
- Understanding of personal accountability
- Knowledge of own role within the team
- Provide evidence of teaching and supporting learners in practice as a practice supervisor
- Awareness of evidence-based practice
- Awareness of responsibilities for infection control
- Evidence of ongoing personal development
- Able to use initiative
- Evidence of recent study
- Previous experience/qualification in relevant specialty
- Teaching experience
- Working Together
- Always Improving
