Main duties of the jobWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Surgical and Medical Ward at John Atwell Day Ward. This is a fast-paced, friendly environment that provides a range of services including pre- and post-operative care, as well as medical management of various patient conditions. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating closely with many specialities including allergy, rheumatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and urology.

DetailedJob Description And Main Responsibilities
You will have the choice of either long days or short days Mon-Sat. No nights or Sundays.
To provide a high standard of individualised nursing care in accordance with agreed policies, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for individual patients.
To train learners and other nursing staff in the ward environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge And ExperienceEssential criteria
- Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
- Registered nurse on appropriate part of the register
- Knowledge of current issues within acute Health Service
- Understanding of personal accountability
- Knowledge of own role within the team
- Provide evidence of teaching and supporting learners in practice in the role of practice supervisor
- Awareness of evidence-based practice
- Awareness of responsibilities for management of infection control
- Evidence of on-going personal development
- Able to use initiative
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of recent study
- Previous experience/qualification in relevant specialty
- Teaching experience
