Manufacturing Technician

Location: Nursling

Manufacturing Technicians /Southampton /£17.50-£18.00 per hour

We are recruiting experienced Manufacturing Technicians to join a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation in Southampton. These roles support a range manufacturing activities, electro‑optic testing, and controlled environment production.

Role Overview

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
Precision or micro‑assembly using hand tools, microscopes, and fixtures
Testing and inspection of electro‑optic or electronic components
Working with small, delicate, or high‑tolerance parts
Following detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
Completing production documentation and reporting issues accurately
Maintaining clean, safe, and compliant work areas Requirements

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience (essential)
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Good manual dexterity and fine motor control
Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office essential)
Desirable

Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Optics, or Semiconductor manufacturing
Cleanroom or controlled‑environment experience
SAP ERP knowledge

Working Environment

Aerospace & Defence manufacturing facility
Controlled‑temperature or cleanroom areas (role‑dependent)
Repetitive fine‑motor work and extended periods of sitting or standing

Due to the nature of the work and access requirements, only sole UK nationals are eligible for this role

37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
