Role Overview

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Commercial Resource Manager. This is a business-critical role focused on forward planning and delivery continuity, working closely with commercial project teams to ensure projects are correctly resourced at all times. The role focuses on leading the centralised planning, deployment, and coordination of all operational workforce and asset resources across Service Delivery and Marine—including internal staff, contractors, vessels, and equipment—ensuring alignment with project pipelines, fleet schedules, mobilisation windows, and commercial priorities.

What

You Will Do
  • Own the end‑to‑end resource management model for commercial project workforce and asset (SD, Marine, vessels, equipment) planning, execution, and forecast. Ensure right resource is provided at right time and right location throughout all phases of project lifecycle.
  • Align resourcing and asset deployment to project demand, fleet schedules, and mobilisation and operation plans; maintain forward visibility of constraints. Work closely together with department managers to ensure that the commercial projects are manned with the skills required.
  • Govern allocation decisions, risk management, and resolve resource/asset conflicts across projects and vessels; chair weekly planning forums.
  • Oversee contractor management (sourcing, onboarding, extensions, performance, rate alignment) with consistent standards and compliance.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Service Delivery Leads, Vessel Managers, Operations Leads, and the Fleet Planner to synchronise schedules and readiness.
  • Forecasting & utilisation reporting: provide portfolio‑level dashboards for workforce and asset utilisation, demand outlook, and risks.
  • Escalation point for resource/asset shortages, contractor issues, scheduling risks; triage and elevate only strategic items to Commercial Project Delivery Lead.
  • Process & tooling stewardship:
Oversee the development and implementation of templates and procedures around resource management to ensure effective workflows with other departments; steward the integrated planning software and data integrations (ERP/HR/asset registers).
  • Line management of the wider Commercial Resourcing team, supporting team members and ensuring the wider team growth and development.
Who You Are
  • Proven experience in resource management/workforce planning within complex, multi‑project delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery and offshore/marine operational realities, including mobilisation, vessels, and asset constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance demand, capacity, and risk across projects, governing allocation decisions and resolving conflicts.
  • Experience managing contractors and mixed work forces, ensuring compliance, performance, and rate alignment.
  • Highly effective stakeholder partner to project, service delivery, operations, and fleet teams, able to lead planning forums and act as an escalation point.
  • Confident leader with a data‑driven approach, able to forecast, report on utilisation, and develop teams, processes, and planning tools.
Salary

Up to £60,000 per annum. Salary varies by location and job grade and is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
