Main duties of the job

Are you passionate about transforming healthcare services and driving sustainable change? We are seeking an ambitious, forward‑thinking Band 7 Transformation Manager to join the newly established Strategic Network for Critical Care (SNCC), a dynamic programme bringing together Adult and Neonatal Critical Care Operational Delivery Networks across the South East of England.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a new, integrated model for critical care networks from 2025/26 onwards. As the Transformation Manager, you will:

  • Support the core network team to develop agile and modernised ways of working
  • Help set clear objectives, prioritise workloads and streamline processes
  • Lead the development of a shared resourcing hub, including data analytics and administrative support functions
  • Drive transformational programmes and project management, ensuring the network is sustainable, future‑ready and able to maximise new funding opportunities
  • Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, providers, commissioners and regional partners

The SNCC covers the full South East region, supporting two major ODN geographies:

  • Thames Valley & Wessex (TVW)

Across these areas, we deliver seven core functions:

Our workplans are developed in partnership with commissioners, ICBs and providers, ensuring high‑quality, equitable care for critically ill patients and families.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a complex, fast‑moving environment and is motivated by the opportunity to influence system‑level change across a large regional footprint.

Who are we looking for

You will be a skilled programme or transformation professional with experience in:

  • Service redesign or improvement
  • Managing multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Working across organisational boundaries
  • Applying data‑driven insights to support decision‑making
  • Delivering change within healthcare or similarly complex systems

Strong communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills are essential.
