Supply Chain Technical Product Manager (6-Month Placement)
About the Role:
Join our client in Southampton for a 6-month stint as a Supply Chain Technical Product Manager. You’ll help align supply chain strategies with product development in the luxury yacht industry.
What You’ll Do Strategy & Planning
Work with engineering and procurement teams to match supply chain goals with product plans.
Manage a Request for Quotation (RFQ) tracker focused on costs.
Teamwork
Coordinate with teams across design, sales, marketing, and operations for smooth product launches.
Help design teams with cost-effective and functional product Relationships
Pick and manage manufacturers, ensuring specs, installations, and warranties meet standards.
Build strong supplier partnerships, onboard new suppliers, and ensure quality compliance.
Work with suppliers to improve products and reduce costs.
Problem-Solving & Leadership
Guide teams on product design, architecture, and user experience.
Analyze issues in the supply chain and find actionable solutions.
Monitoring & Risk
Track product performance and drive improvement.
Evaluate and manage risks tied to supply chain processes.
Skills & Experience What You’ll Need
Solid product management experience across all lifecycle stages in the Marine Industry.
Deep understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, and product design.
Knowledge of yacht building and functional design principles.
Proven skills in supplier management and cost Skills
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Communication:
Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
Tech Savvy:
Familiar with software systems, design, and supply chain processes.
Team Leadership:
Confident working with and guiding cross-functional teams.
