Director of Enterprise Data

Exciting opportunity for a Director of Enterprise Data to join a globally recognised Supply Chain Logistics company in this new, foundational leadership role, designed to build the organisation’s data discipline from the ground up.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Director of Enterprise Data to join the business and make a real impact. The Director of Enterprise Data will be accountable for defining the vision, strategy, and governance framework that will transform how the organisation collects, manages, governs, and consumes data. The role requires experience in building and delivering enterprise-wide data strategies, ensuring data assets are reliable, accessible, and secure.

The successful candidate will own the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, lead the adoption and delivery of advanced analytics, and bring hands‑on experience with SAP technologies such as SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Databricks. You will be a key communicator, partnering with senior stakeholders across all business functions to embed a data‑driven culture, build and roll out the data strategy, and work closely with the DPO.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategy, governance, and analytics frameworks
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture and platform design principles
• Hands‑on experience with some or all of SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Azure Integration Services, and Microsoft Purview
• Experience in establishing and operating data stewardship and data ownership models
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
• Strategic, forward‑thinking mindset with the ability to balance vision and execution
• Strong capability to translate business problems into data science and analytics solutions that deliver measurable value
