Position: Child Health Information Service (CHIS) Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Child Health Information Service Administrator to join a busy Child Health Information Service.

This post is based at the Moorgreen Hospital, West End and is full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration tasks, including data input.
  • Maintain accurate and timely processing of data into CHIS systems while preserving the integrity of the child's record.
  • Ensure that all birth notifications are recorded and processed on CHIS systems within operational standards.
  • Manage the scheduling and data upload of the 0-19 immunisation programme.
  • Ensure all appropriate clinic lists are forwarded in a timely manner to GP's and immunisations are recorded correctly to maintain the integrity of the child's record.
  • Send monthly outstanding immunisation reports to all GP practices electronically.
  • Ensure all Newborn Screening is recorded according to the CHIS processes.
  • Ensure the transfer in and out of records are completed on the CHIS systems.
  • Raise any data management issues to the line manager and participate in any investigations.
  • Adhere to the Trust's Information Governance Policy and Records Management Policy standards.
  • Contribute towards the analysis, interpretation and presentation of child health-related data to support the developing needs of child health service across the health economy by accurate data input.
Qualifications
  • Motivated team player with experience of working within a clerical/office environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous experience of working in a NHS role is desirable but not essential; full training will be given.
  • Open only to applicants from Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS system, which is limited to:
    Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare FT, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton FT, South Central Ambulance Service or Hampshire Hospitals FT.
