Male Night Support Worker

Overview

Location:

Blackfield, Southampton

Pay rate: £13.42 per hour (this is including the night enhancement)

Typical shifts: 9:30pm – 7:30am, including weekends on a rota.

Week 1:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2:
Monday, Thursday and Friday

• Support residents during waking night hours, helping them gain more independence in daily life while working within a dynamic team.
• Enhance the lives of the people we support by teaching new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging access to local communities, socialising and participating in activities.
• Be adaptable in daily routines; examples include outings to local bars and pubs or quiet activities such as video games, films or going to the cinema.
• Work to support individuals to meet their goals, such as preparing meals independently or planning holidays.

• Full UK driving license
• Resilient, flexible and composed in approach
• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma
