This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Adults Social Worker to join the Community DoLS Team in Southampton. Specialising in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in the community, this locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £28 – £32 depending on experience. This full time role is initially for 3 months, with potential for extension for the right candidate.

We are looking for a skilled social worker who is confident in completing Community DoLS work and associated court paperwork, to help tackle a backlog of individuals requiring a Community DoL.

• Conduct assessments and reviews of individuals who require a Community DoL, ensuring their needs are met in line with legal standards.
• Prepare and complete comprehensive court paperwork and reports to support Deprivation of Liberty applications.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and legal teams, to ensure a holistic approach to each case.
• Manage a diverse caseload effectively, keeping precise records and documentation to support your work.
• Engage with individuals and their families to explain processes, ensuring transparency and providing the support they need.
