Financial Manager
Complete Fertility Limited (CFL) are a leading IVF clinic based on the Hampshire Corporate Park in Eastleigh. Complete Fertility Ltd became part of the Virtus Health family in 2018, one of the world’s leading fertility groups.
We are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join our close-knit and supportive team of around 40 staff. The role is 5 days on-site initially with hybrid working a possibility after the initial settling in period. The expectation is for a minimum of three days a week in our UK clinic, more if required. You will be there to partner with both the Clinic Director and the Clinic Manager and to oversee all end-to-end finance operations.
The role will report to the European Financial Controller.
Purpose of the role:
- Supervision, Mentoring and Development of two Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Assistants.
- Overall responsibility for NHS billing and supporting the Clinic Manager with ICB relations. Extracting and Preparing back up files for submission to ICB for approval. Creating and uploading invoices in required format
- Day to day bookkeeping tasks, including Bank/Stripe/Ecomm postings and reconciliation, VAT returns, accounts payable, inter‑co recharges, revenue journals, processing Refunds
- Payroll for 50‑100 employees alongside our outsourced payroll provider with associated journal entries and monthly analysis.
- The production of reliable weekly and monthly statistics for the clinic and the wider group and to work alongside the FP & A department to scrutinise the information produced.
- Cash Flow Management – Cover for the EU Financial Controller
- Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for a full monthly hard close including deferred income computations, prepayments and accruals, fixed assets, debtor reconciliations and adjustments
- Leading monthly P & L reviews with the European Financial Controller
- Input into the European Management Packs that form part of the global reporting requirements.
- Input into Budgeting and Forecasting
- Process Design and Mapping
- Leading the Financial Year End Audits and liaising with the external accountants.
- Ad hoc tasks including some HR admin work if required
- Be part of the implementation team for any planned Finance System upgrades.
- Running the end-to-end accounts function of the European holding company.
- Payroll (5 Employees)
- Accounts Payable
- Posting Bank Entries and Credit Cards
- Inter‑company reconciliation including and recharges
- Management Accounts for Virtus Health Europe Ltd
- Previously held a comparable role with line management experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (Qualified, Qualified by Experience)
- Passion and ability to seek continual process improvements with a strong interest in system improvement and implementation
- Cash Flow Management experience
- Payroll (50‑100 Employees) Experience Essential (HR Administration also desirable)
- Experience in running annual audits would be beneficial although support will be offered.
- Advanced Excel skills demonstrating a clear understanding of logic and efficiency
- Comfortable with Hybrid working methods – the European management team are based remotely.
- Previous experience with Net Suite and Sage 300 desirable but not compulsory
