Financial Controller

Overview

Birchen Construction is currently recruiting for an Financial Controller (or Accounts Assistant) to join our Head Office in Bursledon, Southampton.

This role can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate and availability.

The successful applicant will support the finance function with day-to-day accounting duties. Previous accounting experience is required. Experience with in the construction industry and use of Xero would be advantageous but are not essential.

• Managing day-to-day financial operations
• Preparing and overseeing financial statements and reporting
• Ensuring regulatory compliance
• Analysing business performance and supporting strategic planning

• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Construction industry experience highly desirable
