Mechanical Project Engineer

Overview

A division of a successful international manufacturing company is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team. The company works to world‑class standards and is renowned as a leader in its field. This role will be a fantastic opportunity for a high‑achieving graduate in a Mechanical Engineering discipline who is still early in their career and seeks excellent exposure and career development opportunities.

The Project Engineer role is hands‑on and extremely varied. Some of the key elements are as follows:

• Interact with the customer throughout the life of the project
• Manage the progression through the R&D phase, including design iterations, experimentation and sample production
• Conduct research to identify solutions
• Guide the product design process, with assistance from colleagues
• Specify technical product testing and validate production methods
• Liaise with suppliers regarding material sourcing
• Create test plans and oversee the test process
• Work closely with production

To be considered you will likely have a strong degree in an engineering discipline, almost certainly Mechanical Engineering, with a good understanding of how materials behave.

Personal traits should include a very high attention to detail, self‑confidence and motivation, and an ambitious, inquisitive nature. The team expects you to be a genuine team player with humility and a down‑to‑earth demeanor.
