Senior / Principal Sustainability Consultant – MEP / Construction

This role is to join an independent sustainability and engineering consultancy who provide insight including specialist thermal modelling calculations to support the creation of sustainable building designs.
As a Sustainability Principal/Senior, you will play a pivotal role in the successful growth and expansion of a new and exciting business, delivering the highest standards of sustainability consultancy with a strong focus on team and client relationships. With a deep understanding of sustainability principles and a commitment to ongoing learning and research, you will drive innovation, collaboration, and quality assurance within the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive advantages.
* Lead the planning and execution of sustainability projects and services.
* Nurture the team culture
* Foster relationships with client and others stakeholders.
* Prepare fee proposals and become key client contacts.
* Streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve productivity.
* Participate in optimising processes across the sustainability work streams.
* Coordinate across the business to achieve operational excellence and meet client expectations.
* Work closely with project teams, providing technical sustainability support.
* Develop Junior staff technical and personally.
* Contribute to a positive team culture and knowledge sharing.
* Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a sustainability related field.
* Extensive experience in sustainability, project delivery and team management.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in sustainability deliverables.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
* Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
