Senior Planner – Engineering & Construction Projects

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to develop and manage high-quality project programmes and provide expert planning support to project teams. You will play a key role in ensuring programmes are realistic, fully logic-linked, risk-informed and aligned with contractual delivery requirements.

Working closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and clients, you will support programme control, performance reporting and planning strategy across complex engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain fully logic-linked project programmes

* Establish programme baselines and manage change control

* Analyse progress including critical path and float

* Produce accurate schedule forecasts and reporting

* Identify schedule risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies

* Support programme recovery and re-sequencing

* Provide planning input to tenders, bids and early project stages

* Review subcontractor programmes

* Mentor and support junior planners

About You

* Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner on engineering or construction projects

* Strong programme analysis and reporting skills

* Experience working closely with project, construction and commercial teams

* Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project

* Understanding of NEC contracts and change management

* Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similar (or equivalent experience)

* Experience in water, energy or infrastructure projects is advantageous
