Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Team Lead to join a high-performing engineering team within a cutting-edge aerospace company. This role combines technical leadership, hands‑on mechanical design, and project ownership across complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.

• Translate department goals and objectives into team-level goals, KPIs, and initiatives.
• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, including working practices, processes, and project delivery.
• Identify and address capability gaps within the team.
• Take ownership of project work packages and improvement initiatives, coordinating internal engineers and external partners.
• Act as both a subject matter expert and individual contributor, collaborating with other disciplines.
• Manage human resource priorities, advise on policies, and report on HR initiatives.
• Guide management on organisational expectations and ensure team compliance with policies and standards.
