A highly inclusive and well‑respected Secondary School in Southampton is seeking a Flexible Part‑Time Classroom Supervisor to join their friendly and supportive team.

This role is perfect for individuals considering a future career in teaching, or for anyone who enjoys working with young people and wants meaningful, flexible work during the school week.

As a Classroom Supervisor, you will step in to support lessons for students aged 11–16 when their usual teacher is unavailable. You will deliver pre-planned lesson materials, maintain a focused learning environment, and help ensure students remain engaged and on track.

• Leading classes across a range of subjects using prepared lesson plans
• Encouraging positive behaviour in line with school expectations
• Supporting a calm, productive classroom atmosphere
• Occasionally assisting students with additional learning needs (SEN)
• Providing reliable, flexible cover across the school when needed

• Specialist teaching spaces for all subject areas

• Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils (SEN experience beneficial)
• Are confident, adaptable, and calm in a classroom setting
• Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with young people
• Have a genuine interest in education or supporting youth development
• Are looking for flexible, part‑time work during school hours

• Part-time / flexible working only – you choose your availability
• Competitive daily pay: £95–£130
• Weekdays only, term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
