Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Until July 2026 (initially Spring Term)
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday
Pay: £88.50 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a student with additional needs. Your role will be to provide tailored support that enables the student to access learning, develop independence, and feel confident and secure throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised 1:1 support to a student with additional needs
  • Help the student engage positively in lessons and school routines
  • Use supportive strategies to promote focus, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure consistent, effective support
  • Maintain accurate notes and uphold safeguarding procedures at all times
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting students with Autism is highly advantageous
  • Calm, patient and adaptable in a busy secondary school environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • Willingness to undertake any relevant training
